I was inspired to explore the private commercial viability of space because the landscape of space is changing. The traditional government spacefaring nations have new competition from the private sector. Therefore, I wanted to do research and look into this new field.

I joined this team because I wanted to learn how to do research in a horizontally and vertically integrated team. The research surrounding Mars is constantly shifting and new discoveries are changing the field everyday and being able to do research in this area has been a phenomenal experience.
