Like many other children, I was fascinated by space as a child. I was intrigued by how small we truly were in the universe, a thought intensified by the later realization that the universe was not only expanding, but accelerating in said expansion. I am drawn by the boundless opportunity to explore that this expansion creates, with virtually no limit on the knowledge we can attain for the benefit of humankind. With Mars being the next frontier in this exploration, it only seems fitting that I contribute to the findings of an amazing group of researchers that are as fascinated and intrigued by space as I am. I hope that Mars will become the first step in humankind's journey into the vast space beyond our own solar system.
